More quick pics

Here are some images I've been working on in Illustrator. Here are some pictures I'm working on for my new webpage. It's my first time making a page in flash so I hope I can get it up and running within a month or so.
Here is a quick "My Name is Earl"

Quick Pics

I've been trying to work both simpler and faster using adobe illustrator. I spent about 30 on each of these, from finish to start. I'm trying to get a likeness without fussing too much on the details.

Let's Get Ready to Rumble!

Here is a fun little picture of some Caricatures-Japan artists, in an all out brawl. I did this on the train to Tokyo yesterday. You can click on it for a closer look at the gory details.

I went to support Hideyuki Watanabe as he fights his way up the ranks in the Eastern Japan newcomer's tournament. He just won his second fight of the tournament, and will fight again in early July. His older brother is Takayuki Watanabe who I worked with briefly at Caricatures-Japan before he left to go freelance. I got to spend the day hanging out with Takanabe and Tanaka, which is always fun. You can see some photos from the event ,and his great art, at his blog at http://takanabe1130.blogspot.com/ Check it out!

I'm back at Junior High!

As of last month, I'm working as a Junior High School teacher at Sakushin Gakuin. Its a really big campus, with students from kindergarten through High School. It's has the largest High School in Japan, with over 5,000 students.

While Japanese teachers are in charge of teacher grammar from the textbook, I'm in charge on teaching the conversation based program.

For most of the classes I teach, I team teach with one of two foreigners from my company. I work with Chris Nash two days a week, and once a week with Shairose Kara.

In this picture taken after the entrance ceremony, you can see both Chris, Shai, and Mr. Yamaguchi, who is the head of the English department.
