I went to support Hideyuki Watanabe as he fights his way up the ranks in the Eastern Japan newcomer's tournament. He just won his second fight of the tournament, and will fight again in early July. His older brother is Takayuki Watanabe who I worked with briefly at Caricatures-Japan before he left to go freelance. I got to spend the day hanging out with Takanabe and Tanaka, which is always fun.
